General Information

The DLP-Sabre is a Tier 10 Heavy Vehicle, exclusively unlockable through blueprint acquisition in Events.

Weapons

DLP-Sabre's main gun fires ballistic rounds at enemy targets, inflicting damage in a small hit radius.

Additionally, the DLP-Sabre can be equipped with a handful of secondary weapons.

  • The second slot, unlocked at level 4, only has a single Bulat .60 Cal HMG, which targets everything but specializes in damaging defense platforms.
  • The fifth slot, unlocked at level 10, has the following options:
    • Wootz AA Rockets, which provide the DLP-Sabre with some much-needed defense exclusively against airborne targets.
    • Ostwald-110 Autocannon, which works similar to the Bulat .60 Cal HMG in that it does best against platforms, but also hits everything.
    • Hamon Incendiary Rockets, which can hit everything and inflict incendiary DOT effects, with extra effectiveness versus Light Vehicles.

Trivia

  • Tying in the melee weapon theme of T10 Heavy Vehicles, this unit is named after the Sabre, a weapon primarily used by light cavalry in CQC, which in turn fits with its role as a frontline tank with low range.
  • The DLP-Sabre, as revealed in the dev diary, is derived from the Decisive Lethality Platform, part of the NGCV program that seeks a replacement for the Abrams Tank. At the time of DLP-Sabre's release, the real-life DLP is yet to manifest after several failed bids, and the Abrams remains in service with the US Military.
  • Antodon appears to be a continuation of the DLP-Sabre. Though its name lacks the suffix, its description describes it as "DLP-Antodon" and mentions it being constructed with retrofitted DLP-Sabre components.
  • Ghost, DLP-Sabre, RG-11 Mayon and Derecho MK-6 are tied for the second lowest squad count of all units in the game, at 2.
  • The unit's card image features its Bulat .60 Cal HMG and the launcher for its Wootz AA Rockets.
  • Despite its description, the DLP-Sabre actually lacks anything that boosts its damage against structures of any kind barring its Bulat. 60 Cal HMG.
