General Information
The Sniper is a Tier 4 Infantry, unlocked exclusively through blueprint acquisition in Events.
Weapons
Snipers slowly fire their sniper rifles, dealing single-target ballistic damage to all targets.
Usage In Battle
Snipers, despite their fragility, are deceptively powerful and versatile. 400 range may not be significant, but it's more than enough for them to target and destroy enemy units with little worry of retaliation, most specifically helicopters like the AH-64E Guardian that can be otherwise unstoppable against certain army compositions. Any attacking platoon can strategically lure out enemy defenders with the main army so Snipers can eliminate them, avoiding unnecessary engagements at unfavorable locations. Defensively, Snipers can be stationed in the Barracks, which in turn can be placed deeper inside a base, offering them protection while they pick off attackers one by one, likely crippling them before they do too much damage.
The only major weakness for Snipers are their inability to efficiently deal with several other targets, most notably structures. While this usually isn't a problem, especially for platoons focusing on heavy vehicles, if they are the only units remaining in the fight they may be unable to properly finish an attack. Despite their high range and damage, Snipers are very vulnerable to attacks and will fall very easily should enemy units survive its attacks to make their approach, and in some cases, units with similar or equal range to them can easily get a hit on them. As anti-infantry secondary weapons gradually become avaliable to heavy vehicles at this point, Snipers may not be able to meaningfully hinder an attack. Additionally, since they take much longer to deploy as defenders, it is entirely possible for the opponent to destroy the Barracks before they spawn, precluding their interference.
