Weapons

The Humvee's turret rapidly fires single-target ballistic rounds at close range, able to hit everything save for Fixed-Wing Aircraft.

Additionally, the Humvee can be equipped with a secondary weapon. The fourth slot, unlocked at level 8, only has the FIM-43 Redeye Missile, which provides it limited defense against airborne enemies, including Fixed-Wing Aircraft that it can't target.

Usage In Battle

The Humvee is a very significant upgrade over the PK. It takes twice the space, and loses the ability to target fixed wing aircraft with its primary weapon. However, the Humvee compensates that by having a much higher top speed. Although it takes time to reach full speed, once it gets there the unit can effortlessly cruise around bases and rain destruction on the move. Additionally, it comes equipped with a diverse range of equipment to enhance its capabilities, most notably the LAV Crew, which boosts its already high damage output against structures, and FIM-43 Redeye Missiles, which can independently target airborne enemies and improve its matchup versus early game helicopters.

Like all light vehicles, the Humvee has limited armor and is susceptible to destruction from mines and other sources of damage, which is further exacerbated by its very low range. A popular strategy involves deploying an entire platoon of Humvees (up to 25, occupying 1250 space). This collective force can unleash substantial damage rapidly to everything they hit, able to quickly destroy slow-firing threats like Abrams M1A1, Railguns (unless buffed by a Transformer) and outpace the Howitzer's shells.
