Infantry units are slow, fragile ground units with high DPS and low capacity, more like glass cannons. AOE damage such as the Howitzer or S-13 and Light Vehicles can easily dispose of groups of infantry. They are generally great against aerial foes.. It is heavily recommended to shield them by letting tank units like the Rhino or Hind draw enemy fire while they dish out heavy damage. When an individual infantry unit killed, they either gurgle in death or scream. Sometimes they are just gibbed instantly.

Their production building is the Barracks. Building Machine Gunners and further require the least amount of critical components.

Trivia

  • Most if not all infantry units will collapse on the ground when they are destroyed.
    • Should they receive an excessive amount of damage that far exceeds their health (such as a Noctua hitting a Force Recon), there is a chance for them to explode into a pile of limbs and blood, leaving behind one M4A1 Assault Rifle regardless of the unit's actual weapon. This special animation is presumably made for the Riflemen, who does have one equipment slot for said weapon. If this animation is triggered but does not play, the infantry unit will just outright disappear.
    • Mechanized infantry units like the Spartan and QMR-Ridgeback instead adopt animations similar to Light and Heavy Vehicles, exploding into a wreck of whatever that remains of them which burns briefly.
