General Information

The Odachi is a Tier 10 Heavy Vehicle, exclusively unlockable through blueprint acquisition in Events.

Weapons

The Odachi's artillery gun fires ballistic rounds at enemy targets, inflicting damage in a small hit radius.

Additionally, the Odachi can be equipped with secondary weapons. The third slot, unlocked at level 6, has the following options:

  • Assegai Long Range Rockets, which contribute to siege damage by hitting enemy structures from afar, but can't attack anything else.
  • Veretum .50 Cal MG, which, while particularly effective against infantry and light vehicles, hits just about anything, offering the Odachi defense from a wide variety of targets.

Trivia

  • Tying in the melee weapon theme of T10 Heavy Vehicles, this unit is named after the Ōdachi, a long Japanese sword. This echoes with its speciality in raining fire from great range.
  • Odachi's design takes inspiration from several real-life weapon systems and vehicles.
    • As claimed in its Designer Diary, Odachi's tracked element stems from the real PzH2000, with the turret seemingly based on PzH 2000's Artillery Gun Module. The CAESAR self-propelled howitzer and the Unimog 2450L are also cited as influences.
    • The front half of the Odachi bears an uncanny resemblance to the G6 Rhino.
  • The Odachi is the fourth unit designed by its artist, Eric Bacquet.
  • It is the first proper Siege Artillery unit to employ a Ballistic Mortar. Other previous artillery units have either employed Explosive Mortars or Rockets.
  • Odachi is the first Siege Artillery to possess a unique "When Destroyed" animation - It gets bumped up in the air with the front wheels detaching, then they slam down, bending the gun while breaking the turret, which slumps to the right.
